I wanted to let everyone know that I have not be available as often as I would like here lately. This is largely due to my mother-in-law moving in with us temporarily. She was displaced from Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina, and her job with the EPA has relocated her here to Atlanta. This entailed clearning out my office to give her space, and move my computer into our living room. I will still be around a good bit, but it doesn't always work out for me to sit for a few hours to get in some good online play. *sigh* I hope she is able to get something worked out with the insurance companies to get back on her feet, but it's a waiting game at this point.

And slaps the scorpion upside the head! Realizing this bada$$ Monk was named Maior, he tucked his tail between his legs and ran back to the Maze of Shak. :P

As always, our good friend Maior was willing and able to lend a hand in helping me acquire my final piece of RSE. I had been carrying a key for over a year *stored in my moghouse while I was on "vacation". We traveled through pretty much every corridor of Shak fighting along the way in the hopes of another key dropping. We never had much luck with this, but it was fun to watch Maior show off with his lvl 53*?* MNK. I was able to throw a Cure his way every now and then, and to help toast the jellies with a few Fire spells. Even after locating the magical pattern in the chest, we continued to mow through the mobs until my RSE window started ending. Using my warp scroll, I was back in Jeuno with gear in hand within 5 minutes. Next step:

Hello everyone, long time no post. As you have guessed, I've had to leave the Vanadiel world for an indefinite period. With the change of jobs and personal ordeals have kept me focused on other things. I've read the posts and enjoyed reading about everyone's progress!

I've been playing less time consuming games, that was until I played GTA: San Andreas and Halo 2. Halo has been my recent addiction and have run into some of my old Xbox live friends. I'd definitely like to play with any of you guys who have picked it up.

Anyways, hope everything is going well. I may not be around, but I'm always around.

Summoners beware

Let me start by saying...I've seen weather/elements change regularly while playing this game, but the game knows when you're looking for the changes and gives you nothing but blue skies. I started the summoner quest after getting help from a lvl45thf, who offered to help me get Carbuncle's Ruby after seeing me fight leeches in Burb. Pennisula. I appreciated the help and with her sneak attack and me casting regen on her, we were plowing thru leeches faster than they could spawn. I've been fighting leeches for about a month during downtime trying for this ruby....it took about 45mins with her in my party to get the drop. Lesson being...thfs can make all the difference in the world. hehe

Adventures in Valkurm

As we all know by now, the dunes can be a trying place and can give you a coronary if you're not careful. Trix and I set up a party on Sunday that...well...we'll say was subpar to say the least. After allowing me to die due to poison *groan* we decided to cut our losses and go it alone. Maior and I had better luck last night, after joining a solid group. We gained exp quickly by taking down clips and flies. With 2 white mages (I being one of them), we were slicing thru them one after another. (We were joined by one player who kept reminding us how experienced he was...yet seemed more noobish than Maior's mule with a ? above his head. hehe) We were forced to find another puller after loosing one our of members, who proceeded to pull a leecher which wiped me quickly. I was raised and we proceeded...until he decided this time he'd train 3 gobs to us. Very nice of him, as Maior and I bolted for Selbina and called it a night.

I will be spending alot of time in the dunes for awhile *groan* so I invite all of you to join me and make this process as painless as possible. I'm also looking forward to Meretrix's first encounter in the dunes, as it is always an experience. hehe

I am also interested in completing some BCNM quests. I'm craving a big battle !! You can only take down so many hares and sheep before you want a tough fight. Unfortunately, I will not be heading out of town for the 4th, so I should be around alot. Send me a tell if anyone wants to party together. Happy Hunting!
