Someone to blacklist....

Okay... those of you who've known me for the last 3+ years in the game know that I don't /blist people willy-nilly. Generally speaking, someone has to really be an asshole before I blacklist them. For example, a certain person (Destron) had to use warp scrolls mid-battle and laugh as he warped (without warning, or finding a replacement) in 3 different parties I was in with him before he wound up on my blacklist... Another person (Gooch) had to MPK my friends and I several times, even after being reprimanded by GMs, before I added him... And another person, rank 1 at the time (Pearlblue) had to chase me around the Sarus making fun of the "Galka BLM" for an hour before he wound up on my list...

This is why, if you are reading this, you should take me very seriously when I say to blacklist the Taru WHM "Iremire" immediately...

It all started innocently enough... I was a NIN LFP, Iremire was a WHM/BLM who was forming a party. The layout was pretty sweet, NIN(me), WHM, RDM, SAM/THF, MNK/NIN, RNG/NIN, and we were targetting Spinners in Mamook. Every spinner gave 150-300 EXP, and we could easily hit chain 5 or more... if our mages didn't suck....

The problems all started when we (the melee) noticed that the mages weren't doing much. Iremire rarely cured until someone was in the red (which generally meant he stole hate with his Cure IIIs and IVs). This was made especially troubling by the fact that people were often in the red because of nasty moves like Sickle Slash. The end result was that I died, three times, due to Sickle Slash over the course of about an hour and a half.

Additionally, neither mage would ever Poisona any of us. If you've fought Spinners in Mamook you know that their Acid Breath attack gives an extremely strong Poison effect (as a high VIT Galka, they were taking off 20+ HP per tick). Now, I can understand not Poisona-ing us mid-battle because of how often the move is used, but between battles half the party would be poisoned and in the yellow and yet all Iremire would do was cure us. He would only cast Poisona when someone asked for it, and then would be irritated that people had asked for it...

Finally, Iremire would cast Haste on everyone else, but me (the NIN)... and even then, he would only cast it when he was recasting Protect and Shell. Now, I understand that many other jobs don't realize the importance of Hasting a NIN, but when you have a fast attacking mob like Spinners that have a Slowga move, and your NIN tank is having a hard time tanking it, and is repeatedly asking for Haste, you'd think that they'd put two and two together and realize how important it was (especially when everyone else in the party was trying to explain why Haste was so important to a NIN!)

At any rate, the party sucked. The melee were fine, but the two mages just bogged us down to no end. After an hour and a half, we had only earned around 4k, and all the melee knew we should be earning more.

My final death in the party was a Spinner that Jubaku (Paralyze) and Hojo (Slow) hadn't stuck on. This same Spinner had managed to get me with Poison and Slow, and my shadows were down with 22 seconds to go on either recast. Iremire, once again, waited for me to get into the red (I actually got down to less than 50 HP) as well as the other melees in yellow, before hitting us with an Elemental Seal + Curaga III.

Well, I'm sure you can guess what happened.... The mob ran off towards Iremire, while I still had 5 seconds to voke. I positioned behind the mob and the SAM/THF was able to SATA onto me for 700+ points of damage. This high damage wasn't enough to peel hate off of Iremire, but soon my voke was back up and I was able to strip the mob off of Iremire seconds before it would have killed him.

However, now with hate firmly back on me, and no shadows for another 10 seconds or so, I was hit by two Sickle Slashes in a row, which brought me to less than 10 HP, which wasn't enough to survive the Poison that was still on me. I died.

Now, at this exact moment, something wonky happened with my router, and I had a network hiccup. So, I D/Ced. I was gone for no more than 3 minutes (the hiccup wasn't long enough to make me have to re-login to POL), but when I came back, my party was no longer there.

I sent Iremire a /tell "{Connection Lost}", to which he replied "{Party} {Disband} {Time for work!}".

Now, I had just died for the 3rd time saving this bastard, and there wasn't any other party nearby that could raise me, so I asked "{Raise} {Can I Have it?}", which, IMHO, is a pretty reasonable thing. It's not like I had been gone for long, the party had disbanded pretty quickly, so I assumed he should be nearby still. At any rate, he knew I was dead and common courtesy would have been to give me 5-10 minutes to come back for a raise...

He replied with am "omw", which relieved me. So I sat there patiently waiting for him, all the time thinking that maybe I was wrong about him being an asshole (maybe he was just a shitty WHM?).

...15 minutes passed....

Hmmmm, I wonder, what if he warped or something and is no long in the Whitegate area?

"{White Mage} {position}?" I ask.

....No reply....

...15 more minutes pass... I'm watching some shit on TV waiting for him but now I see there's only 25 minutes left and if I am going to be needed an alternative to him, I should start planning for it.

"25 {minute} {Time remaining} {Home point} {counter}, {White Mage} {position}?"

...Again, no reply....

I log to mule quickly (which means I have to exit to Dashboard in 360 quickly) and I /sea all Iremire to find him in a party in Zi'Tah with his "Away" flag set (meaning he wont see my messages).

So not only did this guy leave me for dead, he lied about having to go to work and about coming back to raise me!

I eventually had to HP (it was too early, so no one I knew was online to help me), and wound up losing all of the EXP I had gained in the shitty party, and then some.

So, to recap:
* 1.5 hours wasted
* 3 Sole Sushis wasted
* Many NIN tools wasted
* EXP ring wasted
* 500 less EXP than I started with

So please, if you have any decency, blist this asshole...
