11-20-04: After defeating Porphyrion, who drops the elevator key needed to get to the basement, we find out the elevator doesn't actually go the 'whole' way down. I guess they're trying to save on electricity in Delkfutt's tower. Nonetheless it makes for an awesome decent if you have flee!
