4-17-05: In the beginning Maior, Thirsty, and Mere used to play and farm in Promy just for fun. Soon after Maior began joining Jeuno PTs and learned the secrets of winning (by failing).
Actually, I never learned the secrets of winning from any Jeuno party.... and I had been joining Jeuno parties well before this. Here was my first one.
The strategy we use wasn't something I learned from others in pick up parties, it was something that resulted from a conversation in IRC between me and Ravenclaw/Tabke. The original post on this site about it was here in Valsery/Madboy's Promy post. I have since found out that other people independently came up with similar strategies as well. But the strategy that we use was really due to a brainstorming session between me and Tabke... that's it.
Your first Promy run was posted as sometime in Apr. 2005 which was the same month. As I recall, it was very soon after we went in to farm for fun.
Alright, I'll re-word my statement. My intentions were to say that you were led to the secrets of winning by attempting to find a better way. Jeuno PTs have a tendancy of failing repeatedly and being job elitist. Hence the comment that you "learned...(by failing)". You became aware of poor plans, inadequite set-ups, thick-headed ideas, and strived for something better.

The date posted there is wrong. If you look in my archives you'll see there's a pretty big gap in content from Jul 2004 and Sep 2005. This is mainly because I just let all my images go (like you) and never updated them. I didn't start getting rigorous about updating again until Sept. 2005.
My first real Promy run was sometime around Dec 2004 (after I had moved and was settling into Indy) and was with a group of people not in our Clan (Marrock was the WHM who recruited us). We thought we were doing the missions, but turned out we were just an ENM static. We operated as a weekly static on Sundays for about 1.5 months, but we could never retain any RNGs long enough to make the static work out really well.
