Garrison Weekend
Submitted by sam on Wed, 06/29/2005 - 13:26.

This weekend several people have expressed interest in making a Garrison run or two. Right now we have at least one Seven Knot Quipus for the Sarutabaruta Garrison and at least one Red Cryptex for the Ronfaure Garrison. Both of these Garrisons are level 20, so this means the most people can join.

All we need now, is to decide a time. What time works best for everyone? Should we do this Saturday or Sunday?

In addition to this, we have many other Garrison items for Garrisons with level caps of 30, 40, and even 50. I doub't we could gather enough people from the clan to help out with the 40 or 50, but the 30s may be doable.

Comments?

MNK, WAR, THF, SAM

I'm there dude, I usually log on around 12pm to 2pm MST on saturdays and sundays I can however be on earlier if needed. I log at about 12am to 2am that whole time frame is open for fun and adventure so gimme a holler ^^

Time

Honestly, coordinating anything is a bear. We have plenty of folk to play, but no one is ever willing to commit on a time.

We have a cluster of people who play early in the morning (ravenclaw, bomb, et al). Then a cluster of people who play afternoon (Drifter, Xil, etc). Then a cluster of people who play at night (Me, you, Thirsty, Kit, etc). Then a cluster of people who play late night (Trix, Ale, etc).

It makes coordinating stuff like this very hard. So hard in fact that I really don't want to try to coordinate it anymore. I'm sorry folks, I need some help with it.

DRG/WAR or RDM/WMG reporting for duty

I can equip just about any sub that is needed. IF a WMG is needed, mine is currently lvl 16. With a little bit of help, I could probably have it leveled up to 20 before we began.

Concerns

Right now, only 4 people have signed up. And none of those 4 have even picked a time...

I'm begining to think we just wont be able to do it.

Saturday later, Sunday any.

I can do both days but on Saturday probly not untill like 6 on. Sunday though ill be home all day.

Perhaps if we cant do it another ballista? Just a thought.

RNG/NIN or NIN/WAR reporting

RNG/NIN or NIN/WAR reporting for duty!

I can be either, and I'd be fine to kite if you wanted. Saturday works best for me, but my only request would be for something in the morning. If I wait until most of the rest of you play I may fall asleep.

RNG/WAR

Unless you want to kite around the mob instead of me (my high vit and dodge ability at 20 will likely make me a better candidate) I'd suggest RNG/WAR.

At 20, /NIN just doesn't give enough that we'd need for Garrison. /WAR on the other hand gives you more DEF, more STR, and the ability to Provoke.

Addition

In case you're curious what we get from the Garrisons, there's a ton of stuff. Anything from Garrison Armor, to Military Armor, to scrolls, to Mannequin parts drop. Additionally, if we win, we get gil and a page from the Dragon Chronicles which, when read, will give you EXP anywhere from 500 to 1000.

In addition to Garrison, I'd be down to do more level 30 Ballistas on Sunday. They will be at the same time as last week if anyone wants to join.

Ok.

I know I can do a 20 on Saturday. If you do a 30 on Sunday I'll need to know the time. I have 2 jobs at 20, WHM and RDM. Just tell me what one you need, I can try and get NINJA to 20 by the end of the week if you want too.

WHM or RDM

My vote would be either WHM or RDM. Ninjas can help kite the mobs around while the others kill the rest, but we really only need one person kiting (and I'm fine to do that).

One thing that would be useful would be if we had someone else who was willing to follow the person kiting and heal them as needed.
