Garrison Results
Submitted by sam on Wed, 10/05/2005 - 13:56.

Here are the Garrison results for the Garrison on 2005-10-01. I would have posted these sooner, but couldn't due to the server troubles.

We played a total of 9 Garrisons: 8 were successful, 1 was an abysmal failure. Read on for the details.

If I have anyone's name spelled wrong, please post a correction in this thread.

Pashow Marshlands

Pashow was a disaster. We had three people go AFK (two of which were nukers that we really needed) which meant that we had more mobs than we could handle. Couple this with the fact that the mobs were considerably more difficult than before and you can see how we failed pretty badly. NO POOL DROPS WERE OBTAINED! THIS BATTLE DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS THE POOL NOR WILL IT BE INCLUDED IN THE PROCEEDS!

  • Fight #8, failure, had the following people (I'm not including the AFKs, but you know who you are :-)
    • Dragonlance
    • Tamara
    • Vervane
    • Avatarx
    • Nelsh

    • Raytien
    • Avayr
    • Kachukaru
    • Kamustaka
    • Golagres

    • Maior
    • Milotheshort
    • Meretrix
    • Thersites
    • Arbelast
    • Laken

Back to the Dunes

For the last fight, we returned to the dunes. This fight was successful :-)

  • For fight #9, we had the following participants (12 players):
    • Raytien
    • Vervane
    • Golagres
    • Tamara
    • Milotheshort
    • Nelsh

    • Maior
    • Meretrix
    • Arbelast
    • Laken
    • Thersites
    • Kamustaka

Kach and Tamara

Just wanted to clarify, you're free to stay for as many or as few as you want. Just be sure to give people heads up so that replacements can be found. Also know that there may or may not be room for you to come back in later on.

Last time we discovered we had too many and it was a first come first server kind of thing. All told, we had around 25 people who wanted to join, but only those who got to the dunes fast enough were able to participate.

What we should probably do is work out some sort of rotation scheme for those who really do not want to stay for the whole night. That way, player X who wants to come but wasn't there on time can return at some later time and take the place of player Y who did not want to stay longer than a few rounds.

We'll probably have to work such a thing out by the next Garrison run. I personally will not be leading another Garrison run for a couple of weeks (simply because I need to spend some time leveling and am getting burned out leading things up). That's not to say others couldn't plan and lead one. I may even come along. I just wont be leading :-)

Garrison Forum

Raytien was speaking of starting a thread to discuss (as a group) some Garrison guidelines; especially since Garrison has eighteen slots and the Clan had more than eighteen folks interested for the last series.

Sounds good to me! =^_^=

Yuppers!

"Also know that there may or may not be room for you to come back in later on."

Of course! I know this, as should anyone! Clan events are quite the PoPuLaR! =^_^=

"am getting burned out leading things up"

You've done a very good job - mucho thanks for the efforts expended so far.

regarding suggested Rotation Scheme

I am agreeable to a Rotation Scheme, if the leader(s) want to expend mental efforts on such. I could even give some parameter concepts now, if a leader wants to mull over the possibilites:

a) I am generally very good about showing up on time - means high availability for a Battle One as WHM/SMN

b) Buburimu Peninsula and Valkurm Dunes - level 30, never observed one lost, it would be a rare Garrison I was not there for these two places

c) Key Item - never farmed a Key Item, but most willing to farm (with assistance) for Valkurm and Buburimu Garrisons (my nation is Windurst)

d) Seven Fights is really about it for me (I'm on the East Coast). I really should be bowing out before Garrison fight eight starts up.

e) Not selected for a particular week's Garrison - that too would be fine, would prefer to know in advance though (i.e. not get turned away after having come all the way to the Outpost)

Kachu afk

Hehe sorry about the afk thing in pashow but i had a splitting headache and should have stopped after the last dunes one but i thought i could do 2 more but i was sooo wrong ^^. next time ill try to be in better shape and not be so tired when we start so i can do the whole run.

Pashow Marshlands and Potions

I think I drank three Hi-Potions to survive Pashow. I am pretty sure I recall four dead on the ground for our side. I probably will not be returning to this place unless someone knows for a fact there is a great drop which cannot be acquired in either the Dunes or the Peninsula. LoL!

Which is to say in the future I would show up for Clan Garrison at Dunes, if the Clan went to Pashow I would go find something to read out on the web, when the Garrison moved on to Buburimu Peninsula I would return for the fight! =^_^=
